About 100 Thieves

100 Thieves is a new gaming lifestyle company and esports organization built at the intersection of competitive gaming, entertainment, and apparel.  100 Thieves was founded in 2016 by Matt "Nadeshot" Haag, the former OpTic Gaming Call of Duty captain, X Games gold medalist, and 2014 Esports Athlete of the Year. After retiring from competitive play, Matt went on to build some of the most popular gaming channels on Twitch and YouTube, and then founded 100 Thieves as a creative outlet for his passions in competitive gaming, storytelling, and streetwear.  In 2017, the company’s growth accelerated with an investment from Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, in conjunction with receiving a franchise in the North American League of Legends Championship Series. Most recently, 100 Thieves finished in 2nd place in its first ever season in the NALCS, sold out its first apparel drop in 11 minutes, signed major sponsors like Rocket Mortgage and Razer, and released the acclaimed esports docuseries The Heist.  100 Thieves currently has competitive gaming teams in League of Legends, Clash Royale, and Fortnite. Moving forward, our goals are to win championships, tell the most compelling stories in competitive gaming, and create the world’s first gaming lifestyle brand.

 

About The Role

100 Thieves is seeking a skilled and motivated Graphic Designer to join its in-house creative department located in Los Angeles, CA. As Graphic Designer, your role will be to work closely with the Marketing Manager and the Director of Post-Production to create innovative designs across all marketing efforts. 100 Thieves has a broad reach across video, social media, apparel, and esports, and this role will contribute to the branding of the company across all fronts. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most talented teams in esports, with huge potential for growth. As one of the earliest members of 100 Thieves, you’ll be an integral part in shaping and defining the 100 Thieves brand and imagery.


 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional design experience; minimum 1 year experience at a creative agency preferred

  • Must be able to demonstrate creative experience through portfolio of work samples

  • Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop

  • Strong design, composition, and typography skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, quick turn-around environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects

  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising creativity and quality

  • Strong organization and communication skills

  • Ability to understand tradeoffs and complete projects with constraints

  • Knowledge and enthusiasm of current design trends & innovations

  • Interest in fashion, gaming, and esports is preferred

  • Based in Los Angeles, CA and legally able to work in the United States

 

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop innovative, original pieces of design that maintain brand consistency

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Director of Post-Production to execute their creative direction and feedback

  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders throughout the design process, especially regarding deadlines and progress

  • Utilize project management software (e.g., Slack, Discord, Asana) to coordinate on workflow

  • Create graphics and motion graphics, and adhere to all client branding guidelines and specifications
